BATTLE AT THE BEACH
(7/13) Hemotheory made their way to the Virginia Beach Oceanfront
to take part in a Battle of the Bands at the Peppermint Beach Club. The
band/artist showcase was hosted by Gorilla
Productions and featured all styles of music from rock to acoustic
to experimental. It was a great experience for the guys to play out to
a new audience and also a great opportunity to see other local acts. This
also marked new guitarist, Seth Benton's first official show with the
band. Make sure to click over to the pix to see
all the action as snapped by our returning guest photographer, Dan Benton.
ZETA
REVIEWED IN HEAVEN'S METAL MAGAZINE!
(July 08) Hemotheory's latest CD, "Zeta"
received an awesome review in the June/July issue of Heaven's
Metal Fanzine. Here's what Editorial Staffer/Contributor, JonathanSwank
had to say about the album: "This independent Virginia 5-piece surprises
with a solid crunchy modern sound that mixes elements of post grunge,
groove and rap rock. Scott Till's charismatic vocals front a band that
sounds solid and tight - our own Jeff McCormack on drums. I like the diversity
of sounds/styles here and the 'colorful,' uplifting and challenging lyrics.
Fans of groove/rap rock with an evangelical bent need to give these guys
a listen."
HEMOTHEORY WELCOMES NEW GUITARIST SETH BENTON
(6/25) Join us in welcoming the newest member to the Hemotheory line-up:
Seth Benton steps in on
rhythm guitars. Benton came in to play back-up for Robin Feathers with
the band at the East Hampton Baptist show on May 3rd, and was first seen
before that jumping around - sporting the faux-hawk in the "Lift"
music video. Seth is a great guy and brings new energy to the band. He
and lead guitarist Neil also work well together and both share a clean
rocking sound that's sure to be clearly heard soon from the stage. Make
sure to head over to the bio page and find out
more about Seth.
HTY ROCKS EAST HAMPTON!
(5/03) Saturday night was a night of incredible firsts. It was Hemotheory's
first time playing out at a great new place - East Hampton Baptist Church.
It was the first time East Hampton Baptist kicked off a rockin' live band
youth event. And it also was guest guitarist, Seth's
first time playing with Hemotheory for their songs, "Lift" and
"Run". All these firsts added up to an incredible night of rocking
and meeting some genuinely cool new friends. Special thanks are in order
to Pastor Tim and our good friend Tracy
for having us out. We also tip our hats to our great friend Mike
T for running sound so well. Thanks to Seth for joining us on stage,
and super shout outs to the new friends we made that night. We look forward
to returning again this summer! Make sure to click here
to see the awesome show pix taken by guest photog Dan.
